Hi!

My name is Maddie and I’m a year 12 student currently partaking in work experience here at Eastside! I love music and the arts as it builds a world of understanding and empathy in such an intriguing way. I find art is a way for me to connect with other people. I enjoy a great array of genres, all at once too! As much as I try to be well versed in different styles of music, rock, soul, hiphop, and punk seem to dominate! The most influential artists of my music taste are Jimi Hendrix, Beastie Boys, King Crimson and Jen Cloher.

As someone who would like to explore the arts and production in the future, Eastside is the perfect environment for me to learn the ropes! I appreciate the genuine passion and excitement displayed through the music and knowledge shared here. I also respect the community-focused approach to running and sustaining the station.
