Louise Hegarty dropped out of lawschool to dj at one of Sydney's busiest live music venues - the Hotel Manly. 12 bands a week, a rowdy biker bar and rampant dancefloor til 3am, it was good grounding for a life of gigs and production.
During the 90's she produced and presented on 2ser, Bondi radio and JJJ. Graduated AFTRS. Played records in Sydney, Melbourne and internationally. Wrote and produced ads. Promoted recovery gigs. Wrote for street press. Did voiceovers. Produced original music and remixed picked up for national airplay. Refused to sign record contracts. And then ran off overseas to become a mother, environmentalist, journalist and breakfast radio co host.
After adventures on tour, at farms and an at coastal New Zealand, Lou is back in her hometown doing what she loves best - community radio. Join her for tunes, interviews and more than a touch of cheekiness.
"The Green Room - just like backstage after the gig. Good music, good times. Anything could happen."
