Join Maisy Stapleton and Paula Towers this Arts Thursday, Christmas Eve with two special guests to explore The Sydney Festival.
We first meet Kate Gaul, producer and director of H.M.S. PINAFORE, a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta to be staged for the festival at the Riverside Theatre in Parramatta from 13th to 23 January. Complete with tongue twisting lyrics and foot tapping music, Pinafore is presented with a modern take on the circuitous stories, romping fun and exposure of the foibles of society, which are as valid today as in the original production.
The Program then welcomes Wesley Enoch, Director of the Sydney Festival.
Wesley has spoken with us for the last four festivals and just before his last program, we talk about how he has coped with the changing and challenging circumstances behind the 2021 Festival. Despite difficulties, this year will be an extraordinary festival, showcasing homegrown Australian talent, that’s amongst the best in the world.
