Arts Wednesday 23 December 2020

Back this week for my last Arts Wednesday for 2020 and, I’m delighted to say, back on 89.7 fm as well as on line. Yes, our transmitter has been fixed!

Ed Lippmann returns at 10:40 am with Part 3 of Sydney By Design for 2020, this week talking about climate change.

I’m playing a “Best of 2020” interview this week, repeating the marvellous conversation  I recorded in September with psychologist and academic, Dr Sue Morris, on resilience.

Sue also recommended the following reading list for those who want to know more:

Chapter on Resilience

In terms of building resilience, prevailing wisdom is to develop a set of skills and practices to develop wellbeing and buffer against adversity. When bad things happen (and they invariably will), you then have a repertoire from which to select the tools most likely to produce the best response in that situation. My book, The Rubber Brain, is replete with such tools to self-optimise and deal with adversity, particularly targeted at university students, but helpful to ANYONE. Music will be all about summer.

Please keep me company.
