Arts Thursday
Join Maisy Stapleton and Paula Towers and our special guests to explore stories behind the arts.
Our first guest is Baptiste Cornillier, who has been our music curator over the last few years. French-born Baptiste works for the Sydney Opera House as Tours Operations Supervisor.
While we hear so much about the Opera House, its likely that only a few Sydneysiders have gone backstage and taken a tour.
Baptiste tells us what we’ve been missing and the many different tours that are possible. We also speak with him about his own background and love of music and of course, play the tracks he selected for us throughout the program.
The Program then welcomes Head On Photo Festival director Moshe Rosenzveig OAM to tell us about the array of indoor and outdoor photo print exhibitions being shown in Sydney this month.
Founded in 2004 with the first Head On Portrait Award, The festival is an international photography event, showing emerging and established photo-artists.
Earlier this year, in response to COVID19, Head On(line) Photo Festival 2020 was created – the first online photo festival in the world. Held in May with a $70,000 prize pool, it was very well received.
Head On exhibitions are currently being shown at iconic outdoor locations, and indoors at selected venues throughout November by Australian and international photographers.
This iteration of the Festival includes 52 exhibitions at Bondi Beach, the Paddington Reservoir Gardens and selected galleries across Sydney.
