Pucker up! A multi-award-winning TV host (ASTRA and ANTENNA Awards), Phyllis Foundis presents A Little Bit of Lip, a witty, wise-ish one-woman show with a talk show twist where the guest star could be you! Phyllis’ show is based on her daily str-juggle as a peri-menopausal co-parent of teen boys, (recovering) advertising copywriter and caregiver for a wise-cracking nonagenarian mother with a Masters in Gaslighting.
Directing Phyllis in her Fringe debut, is prolific and talented NIDA alumni, Sarah Jane Starr fresh from her sell-out performance in KXT’s Mercury Poisoning. This is SJ’s directorial debut and an exciting addition to a successful, global career that spans stage and screen.
An author, TED speaker and current host of Eastside Radio’s, weekly show, Love Soul, Phyllis has interviewed Grammy award-winning musicians including, PJ Morton, Gladys Knight drummer, Darryl Woolfolk, Prince’s legendary engineer, Susan Rogers, Emmy nominated Hollywood cinematographer, Anastas Michos and many more.
Intimate and honest, raw and sweet but never sugar-coated, A Little Bit of Lip promises to uplift, entice, inspire and provoke (playfully). Foundis’ eclectic, sequinned blend of Greek Egyptian style and sass is ready to wow the jaded Fringe-goer looking for a show that defies scripted convention.
