WOMADelaide Celebrates 3 Decades

February 22, 2022

Australia’s Unique Festival Takes its Marks

The world turns… and WOMADelaide returns to its spiritual home in Botanic Park / Tainmuntilla! Join us among the Moreton Bay Fig trees for a cultural adventure for all ages, with a captivating program of more than 100 performances across seven stages, the Planet Talks forum, KidZone, art and cooking workshops, the global village & so much more.

Together we’ve grown up over 30 joyous years sharing the very best music, arts and dance from this diverse, eclectic and fascinating world of ours. Come and celebrate our 30th with the birthday party to end all parties – we’ve certainly all earned it!

Four days of music, arts, dance and ideas – a real life paradise for those who operate from the right hemisphere of their brain. Held on the traditional lands of the Kaurna People of the Adelaide plains, the WOMADelaide festival features over 600 artists from over 30 countries performing on open-air stages across Adelaide’s Botanic Park.

Other displays include off-stage art installations, such as the ‘Cathedral of Light’, ‘Kardla Paltendi (Dancing Fire)’ and ‘TAKSU’, a spiralling tunnel of 160 bamboo combs. This is what the performing arts would consist of if Pangaea never split.

The event is extremely family friendly, featuring youth passes, a Kidzone, and parents room.

Single day, three day and four day tickets are all available for purchase.
