George Doukas has the creative gene. He can”t help himself but push at the boundaries of the music that he knows so well. He is a multi-instrumentalist with an encyclopaedic knowledge of Greek musical styles which he imparts with generosity to his nine piece ensemble. The D Strings combine the velvet sound of the string quartet with the edgy tones of bouzouki and baglama. Mix that with vocals, jazz style piano and a rhythm section and you have a lush, cinematic sound which is truly unique. This will be a memorable evening of Greek music from a range of different genres including contemporary and Rembetiko all arranged by George Doukas and played with great dedication by the marvellous D Strings. This concert is presented in cabaret-mode with general admission seating and limited tables of 10 available. Includes a dance floor. The In-flight Bar & Diner will open one hour before each performance so you can enjoy a drink and delicious snacks. Arrive early for the best seats as all tickets are general admission and seating cannot be reserved. Tickets may be available at the door but this is not guaranteed.
