This May, Belvoir Theatre presents The Wrong Gods, a new work from the acclaimed playwright S.Shakthidharan, the award-winning creator of Counting and Cracking and The Jungle and the Sea. Running from 3 May to 1 June, this play unfolds on the banks of a sacred river in India, where a mother and daughter find themselves at the crossroads of tradition and change. Nirmala, rooted in the ways of her ancestors, faces off against her daughter Isha’s yearning for a future shaped by education and opportunity.
