Joe Camilleri, the Maltese-born Australian music legend of bands such as The Black Sorrows, Jo Jo Zep & The Falcons and the Revelators has had a profound impact on the nation’s music scene. His unique style of soul, rhythm and blues and rock n’ roll had captured the attention of Australia and New Zealand for most of the 70’s and 80’s, leading to him garnering a reputation as a hardworking and hard-rocking Aussie icon.

In this interview, Eastside Radio’s own Tony Smythe discusses a wide variety of topics with Joe himself, ranging from his troubling years in the ’60s and ’70s attempting to gain commercial success in the industry, his continuing national tours which are coming up later this and next year and a general retrospective of Joe’s life and family.

Listen in to this podcast to hear these topics and even more on the career and life of Joe Camilleri.
