Arts Monday’s Jane Raffan interviews Walkley Award winning photographer Andrew Quilty about Blue Highways, USA.

Quilty’s series gives us a glimpse of America seen via the old roads, or blue highways on maps of America.

Quilty travelled through Nevada, Idaho, Oregon, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and New York via these old roads, and he reveals some of the unlikely people and strange places he encountered ‘from the dustbowl to prosperity’.
