They are an American alternative rock band formed in Santa Monica, California, in 1989 from remnants of the group Opal. For almost 30 years, California’s Mazzy Star have been the enigmatic heart of the underground psychedelic music scene.

Driven by their distinctive mix of psych-tinged folk, blues, they have released four influential albums, the second, ”So Tonight That I Might See”, featured the seismic ‘Fade Into You’ as well as “Blue Light”, and the haunting classic ”Into Dust”.

Celebrating 25 years since the release of this classic album, and following a stunning return to live form at Coachella in 2012, this is your only opportunity to catch Mazzy Star live in Australia. Led by the sparse, longing vocals of Hope Sandoval and the beautiful echo-drenched reverb of guitarist David Roback, Mazzy Star will premiere their haunting atmospheric sound, including their new four song EP, “Still”, with full band at Vivid LIVE.
