Riverside Theatres presents Mara! and their 40th Anniversary Concert on Sunday the 22nd of September at 7pm.

Four decades on, the Mara! Band is still ‘ahead of the pack’ in driving the creation of uniquely Australian world/jazz music and showcasing it to audiences here and abroad.

As recipients of 2 ARIA wins & 2 ARIA nominations, they have completed more than 30 international tours, 7 albums and initiated many ground-breaking projects, collaborations, and commissions.

The driving force behind this behemoth is the powerhouse duo of Mara & Llew Kiek who have steered the good ship ‘Mara!’ throughout its 40-year history and curated collaborations with their own Martenitsa Choir, Legs on the Wall, Clarion Fracture Zone and Meryl Tankard’s ADT to name but a few.
