Arts Thursday with Maisy Stapleton on 10 August 2017 welcomed star performer, Geraldine Turner in a lively and frank interview around the upcoming performances of Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, to be staged in Mittagong by CMS Productions from 17th August .
Jacques Brel was a symbol of the Beat Generation, with his songs of love, war, life and death, originally sung in French, emphasising their poignancy. The performance of Jacques Brel is Alive and Living in Paris, is directed by Geraldine and produced by the Miranda Music Society – a community music organisation presenting musical theatre of the highest quality.
The performance pushes the boundaries of emotion and brings together the angst, the heartfelt emotions, the playful and the sardonic and presents a dynamically orchestrated combination of Brel’s songs, such as If we only have love.
