Eastside Radio presents 2023 Radio Film Festival

In celebration of 40 years on air since 1983, Eastside Radio is hosting a series of films at The Ritz as part of our 2023 Radio Film Festival.

Every month we’ve chosen a classic film for the big screen where radio plays an important part of the story.

To kick things off in June we’ve chosen the classic Play Misty For Me as our Opening Film.

This 1971 American psychological thriller features Clint Eastwood as a late night DJ who mistakenly becomes involved with one of his regular callers, played by Jessica Walter, leading to terrifying consequences. A precursor to the 1987 hit Fatal Attraction and one of the best in the Femme Fatale genre the film also marked the directorial debut of Eastwood, who is still making films some 5 decades later.
