Nick Hollo is an architect who worked for 15 years with the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust, turning Cockatoo Island naval dockyards into an art destination. He’s also an established artist, widely known and loved for his images of Sydney coastline in all its many moods. In the end, he says, he loves to paint the effect of light on water. Our light, our water. Now, as a member of the Walking Volunteers, he has created and curated this latest exhibition at the Dickerson Gallery to celebrate the astonishing public gift of the 80km Bondi to Manly walk view here Nick joins us on The Sydneyist to chat about the magic of walking near Sydney harbour and the passion-skill involved in capturing Sydney light on water on paper.
