One Bligh is one of the few Sydney skyscrapers you’d wish taller than it is. It also boasts full-height fresh air in the atrium, chilled beams instead of air-con and the Prime Minister’s Sydney office. Christoph Ingenhoven is the Dusseldorf-based architect who, with local firm Architectus, designed One Bligh. Now the same team is designing Sydney’s tallest building, a billion dollar project on George Street, and 'a few other' major projects. This week Christoph joins Elizabeth Farrelly to chat about how One Bligh came about, what the next buildings will be like and whether there is (or should be) such a thing as Australian architecture.
