This June the legendary German electronic group, Tangerine Dream, joins the stellar line up for the Vivid Sydney 2025. Considered a pioneering act in electronica, Tangerine Dream is not one to miss. They pushed the boundaries of ambient, psychedelic rock, and synth and scored cult classics such as Risky Business, Thief, and Firestarter.

Formed in 1967 by the late Edgar Froese, Tangerine Dream has adapted over the years creating the iconic sound of today. Now made up by current members handpicked by Froese before his passing; Thorsten Quaeschning, Hoshiko Yamane and Paul Frick. Pioneers of the Berlin School of electronic music, Tangerine Dream have inspired the likes of M83, Deepspace, and Chicane – to name a few.

After 40 years, the group return to Sydney for a night journeying through their spectacular discography. Expect hypnotic rhythms and lush soundscapes brought to life by the unparalleled acoustics of the City Recital Hall.
