Andrew Bovell (When the Rain Stops Falling, Things I Know To Be True)succeeds at crafting a masterful telling of passion, history and politics in the picturesque setting of Madrid, Spain.

Camellia whittles away her days, caught between the past and the present, in her stately Spanish home. She is looked after by her carer Alejandro who has his own secrets to keep.

His presence creates cracks in the veneer, spilling secrets left buried for too long.

Praised as a “dazzling piece of writing”, the play originally premiered in an acclaimed Spanish theatre. Some of the original cast are making their way to Sydney for its’ Australian debut.
