Calling all those with a penchant for curiosity and culture, So Frenchy So Chic returns in 2024 with our biggest program to date! For 10+ years, we’ve connected France to Australia through a day-long summer festival celebrating the Art of Living: French contemporary music, gastronomy, fashion, conviviality and lots of Champagne.

We’re playing host to Melbourne and Sydney’s finest dining establishments including Frederic, Hotel Gitan, Loulou and Bouillon L’Entrecôte. Expect a curated selection of French classics; oysters, macarons, mitraillettes, mussels, ratatouille, brioches, crepes, chocolate eclairs, steak frites sandwiches, croque monsieurs, almond duck liver parfait macaron and more. Additionally, you’ll be able to pre-order charcuterie and cheese hampers ahead of the festival. 

Match your foodie experience with our sommelier-curated collection of French and local wines, cocktails and Champagne supplied by Lanson, one of France’s oldest champagne houses. There will be plenty of non-alcoholic options on the day too! 

The So Frenchy So Chic style is a true embodiment of Parisian elegance and sophistication, that effortlessly blends classic and contemporary elements to create a timeless aesthetic. Our photographer will be roaming the festival capturing the best dressed of the day. The favourite 3 will each win a Lanson Black Label Champagne Brut Magnum 1.5L! 

Explore and learn about the world of wines with the ex-sommelier of France Soir Pierre Stock, discover the art of ceramics in a hands-on studio experience, compete in a grand pétanque tournament with epic prizes, or learn French with a 30-minute masterclass.

The festival also provides numerous activities for kids including arts and craft, face painting, magic and mime classes and music initiations.All workshops and activities are free this year.

This year’s festival rendition will showcase a magnifique range of native French music stars, with a whole host of the nation’s best and brightest talent making the big trip Down Under to perform their exclusive sets. You can expect to see the likes of Grammy-winning French psych-rockers La Femme, Gallic singer-songwriter Laure Briard, energetic hit French musician Malo’, and dynamic Parisian duo Kill the Pain.
