I’m Uncomfortable is a standup comedy show presented by Sydney Fringe, it’s a 45 minute-long journey around identity, awkward moments and the tension between fitting in and staying true to yourself.

Annick Adelle is a New York comedian, born in Paris, and raised in Germany. Annick has played all over America in prestigious rooms like the Los Angeles Laugh Factory or the World Famous Comedy Store and is now a regular comedian at the New York Comedy Club. Being fluent in 3 languages, including mine, added something really fun to the show that I could really relate to, I was thought was hilarious.

This show was particularly intimate, only 5 of us were there which made it very fun and interactive. Annick explores many topics, through laughter and without taboo. This is what is so interesting about this show, it’s about being uncomfortable but Annick still finds ways to discuss topics that could be considered sensitive or uncomfortable by many. It is a deeply human show talking about real life experiences, struggles, identity and it was a powerful moment of truthfulness and honesty.

Annick will not only make you feel less alone in a crazy world, but also bring the audience together in a show that is equal to none because things develop with the audience in the moment. It was a beautiful moment, and I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all 😉
