Bassist and composer Reid Anderson joined Matt on Blow to discuss the final tour of his band, The Bad Plus.

Anderson reminisces on the band’s trajectory, his own personal musical influences, and collaborative creation. Aside from their original compositions, The Bad Plus was known for their improvisational jazz arrangements of contemporary songs, something Matt highlights as a unique “postmodern approach.”

Despite the band’s retirement, Anderson implies that he’ll maintain a similar aesthetic ethos in musical projects moving forward.
