Hamed Sadeghi joins Blow to discuss his work with the Eishan Ensemble and the meeting of Persian classical music with improvisation and jazz. Originally from Iran, Sadeghi talks about bringing the Persian culture to Australia and developing a musical language with Australian musicians, drawing on the similarities between different traditions.

He also discusses the Eishan Ensemble’s new album, Possible and the expanded lineup performing at City Recital Hall. Sadeghi talks about the differences between the linear structures of Persian classical music and Western approaches to harmony and rhythm.
