Depending on context, the meaning of the word Inversion itself may change. Disciplines such as medicine, physics and politics contain a plethora of examples. An interesting (and somewhat relevant) contemporary example is political inversion. To most of the world, the political term ‘liberal’ is associated more closely with social progression however this meaning is inverted in the Australian political context.
