Catch It By The Tail

Catch it by the tail is a podcast of songs, stories and poems for young and old but in particular children aged 4 and up. The program features contemporary material along with classics from the past. It also features content made especially for it: stories and poems performed by actors, authors reading their work and kids being themselves in all sorts of different ways.

Drive

Drive time is the soundtrack to your journey home. On air every day 4-6 pm, your five Drive presenters bring you an eclectic mix of music and great interviews. You will get breaking news as well the latest from  activists, politicians, academics, social commentators and musicians. You'll hear about the great events happening around Sydney and most of all some great music from contemporary Americana and African music to electronic and Jazz.

For The Duration

For The Duration airs at 3pm every weekday to bring the Eastside community the latest and most reliable information about the Covid-19 outbreak. FTD will feature interviews with the eastern suburb’s politicians, police, medical experts and authoritative figures who can help us all navigate and make sense of the developments. It will also give the community the opportunity to ask questions of the authorities and share their experience of, and solutions around, dealing with the shutdown. Local businesses and services which are still open will also have a chance to explain their offerings.

Making Airwaves

The “Making Airwaves” project is a partnership between Windgap Foundation and Eastside Radio 89.7 FM. “Making Airwaves” is an opportunity for people with an intellectual disability to learn radio presentation and production skills, creating their own radio show. The project has brought together a diverse group of people to share stories, news, views, interviews, humour, insights and music to listeners across the City of Sydney and Eastern Suburbs.
