‘Lo Unico Constante’ from Alex Cuba is Eastside Radio’s Album Of The Week. The album consists of thirteen tracks of Latin pop, soul and jazz, with an uplifting and positive tone. The multi-award winning artist was born Alexis Puentes in Artemisa, Cuba, where he learnt guitar from his father Valentin Puentes, an esteemed player and teacher. Alex moved to British Columbia, Canada in 1999, where he continued to hone his craft and became a recording artist in his own right, and has since built a formidable discography.
‘Lo Unico Constante’ is his sixth full-length album to date. Alex returned to the studio to record, with Joby Baker bringing in the rhythm section from his previous record ‘Healer’. The album is focused on nylon string guitar and upright bass, moving further into the sound created on the Grammy nominated, ‘Healer’.
