Lior & Paul Grabowsky at The City Recital Hall

Sparks fly when Lior and Paul Grabowsky combine their talents on stage.

Acclaimed composer, pianist and polymath, Paul Grabowsky has received numerous awards in his illustrious 40-year career. In this distinctive collaboration, Grabowsky’s improvisational dexterity on piano reinforces Lior’s haunting vocal style, as together they reinvent some of Lior’s most cherished songs such as This Old Love and Bedouin Song.

Lior first gained public attention following his 2005 debut album Autumn Flow, which became one of the most successful independent releases in Australian music history. His bittersweet musical style artfully fuses pop with the traditional tones of his Middle Eastern heritage. Both understated and profound, Lior’s music and lyrics convey a depth of wisdom, compassion and musical understanding distinctive within today’s music industry.
