My name is Jae Ryu and I’m in Year 10 and currently attending St Ives High School. Music has always been a huge part of my life, while my parents both work with computers they encouraged me to pick up new instruments and classes. I love playing my guitar and is currently trying to learn piano, my other hobbies include Visual arts such as painting and drawing.

I started to gain interest in the audio and music production a few years ago and thought working at a radio station was the perfect opportunity to gain new knowledge about the media industry. I’m excited to learn new skills and experience at Eastside Radio.

As for my music tastes, I listen to a variety including pop, jazz, rock, bossa nova, kpop, indie and more. My favourite artists include Beabadoobee, Laufey, Dominic Fike, Oasis, Gracie Abrams, the list goes on. My current favourite songs would have to be Ant Pile by Dominic Fike and Anything by Adrien Lenker.
