Have you met Lyuba? Lyuba is quite an intriguing and mysterious mammoth. Mammoth’s are extinct, but Lyuba seems to be almost immortal as she still captures our hearts 42,000 years later. Lyuba is a preserved mammoth who has had a global adventure. Unfortunately, Lyuba died at 35 days old, but fortunately she was preserved by bacteria and we are able to appreciate this beautiful mammal. Lyuba’s adventure started when she was found preserved and intact by a Siberian family a decade ago. To find out more, check out the podcast and listen to Chantelle’s interview with Dr. Matt McCurry.

Antibiotic resistance is not just caused from over use of antibiotics or chemicals. Processed foods contribute to antibiotic resistance. Inactive chemicals used in weed killer are found in processed foods at very low levels and contribute to this crisis. Currently 700,000 people die a year due to antibiotic resistance. Simply using less antibiotics is not an effective method to counter antibiotic resistance. So, what do we do and what does this mean for us the next time we need to go to the doctor? To find out more, listen to what Cat said on this week’s podcast.
