Icons Emerge At The Emerald Room For Sydney Fringe

September 03, 2024

A plethora of pleasure awaits this September when Sydney’s newest late-night hotspot, The Emerald Room, turns PINK for their inaugural Sydney Fringe season with iconic Sydney stars headlining performances across three thrilling weeks of live entertainment including Pia Andersen & Monica Trapaga (Body Shop Swing), Jonathon Holmes & Natalie Abbott (Mickey’s Jazz Club), Brendan de la Hay & Lou P Scarlett (The Philosopher’s Strip), iOTA, Verushka Darling and Catherine Alcorn (Bangers & Mash), and global Fringe sensation Christine Ibrahim (Wonderfully Terrible Things).

“The Emerald Room draws inspiration from iconic cabaret venues worldwide, like legendary showrooms Cafe de Paris in London and the Rainbow Room in New York.” – Concrete Playground

The Emerald Room is quickly becoming Sydney’s premier cabaret joint. More than a theatre, restaurant, or cocktail bar— The Emerald Room is a dynamic entertainment destination. Boasting a full-service kitchen led by Chefs Nina ‘Teddie’ Huynh and Elijah Attard, the venue offers specially crafted menus designed for each Fringe show.

This venue promises a vibrant mix of cabaret, live music, burlesque, and acrobatic arts, setting a new standard for late-night indulgence. It’s designed to be Sydney’s premier cabaret and late-night restaurant, offering a provocative menu of food and drinks that continues into the early hours. The interior of The Emerald Room channels mid-century glamour with its opulent décor, plush seating, and ornate fixtures, evoking the allure of classic supper clubs. Located in the bustling Darlinghurst area, it promises a sophisticated and enchanting atmosphere for a truly unique nighttime experience.
