On Hours Apart, we take you on a weekly musical journey between Australia and Germany. Broadcasting from Eastside Radio, we mainly focus on jazz — but sometimes we also play pop songs and a few current hits. Each episode includes segments like Roadtrip to Germany, Jazz Corner, Spotlight, and Worth the Visit, where we highlight artists, explore different music scenes, and discover inspiring places from both countries and beyond. It’s all about culture, discovery, and the music that connects people — even when they’re hours apart.

We’re both 21 years old, journalism students from Germany, and currently doing our internship at Eastside Radio. With a shared love for music and storytelling, we created this show to connect cultures and sounds from Australia and back home.

We’re curious, open-minded, and always excited to discover something new — whether it’s a smooth jazz classic, an emerging artist, or a global hit.
