Eastside Radio is a community station and we rely on the help of volunteers

We’re currently looking for new front desk volunteers to assist at the station here in Paddington. As little as half a day a week would be a great contribution to the station and a unique opportunity for an interested person.

No experience is necessary, just a passion for jazz, specialist music, the arts and the community. You’ll be the face and the voice of the station working with the community through emails, telephone calls, welcoming visitors and guests plus other important jobs.

Virginia Lowe, who now presents ‘The Lowedown’ on air each week on Tuesdays at 9am, says “I started out as a casual front desk volunteer at Eastside some years ago. I loved being part of the team so much that I kept volunteering for ages. Eventually I moved on to present my own Program. Today I’m still totally involved with Eastside and enjoy every minute of it.”
