Originally live streamed as ‘Friday Night Live!’ from the bowels of Paddington Town Hall’s The Reservoir Room during the Great Lockdown, ‘FNL … Alive and Unlocked!’ will be unleashed at Parramatta’s Riverside Theatre for Sydney Festival 2021 from Jan 28-30, 2021. Celebrating everything we have all missed through 2020’s year of living dangerously, ‘FNL … Alive and Unlocked!’ is an unrestrained, heady and exhilarating cocktail of music, cabaret, comedy, love and mayhem – all shaken and stirred with just the right-sized dash of crazy humans we love!

Making its way to the stage, ‘‘FNL … Alive and Unlocked!’ stars multi award-winning roof raiser Catherine Alcorn (The Divine Miss Bette) abetted by her devilishly inappropriate co-host, music and comedy legend Paul McDermott (Doug Anthony All Stars, Good News Week), Rock God slash MD Glenn Moorhouse (American Idiot, Jersey Boys) and Resident Drag Goddess Verushka Darling (El Circo) as they wrangle an array of super-special guests and surprise performances each night! ‘‘FNL … Alive and Unlocked!’’ is old school, live and loud entertainment at its best; a much needed antidote for the times filled with laughs, love, music and the carefree joy of less serious times.

Featuring an amazing line up including Bob Downe, Wendy Harmer & Jean Kitson, Ursula Yovich, iOTA, Hans, and Marney McQueen.

Directed by legendary TV comedy director Ted Robinson and the Good News Week (GNWTV) team. GNWTV is an ARIA award-winning production company and Ted is a recipient of the AFI Raymond Longford Life-Time Achievement Award (Writer, Producer, Director.) The company is renowned for producing high calibre comedy, cabaret and talk shows in both live and broadcast formats.
