The Sydney Conservatorium of Music Open Academy offers many short courses in a collaborative group environment designed to give adults the skills and knowledge to pursue their musical interests, curiosity or to find a creative outlet for their talents.

Catering for beginners, experienced musicians, and everyone in between, the courses provide life-long learners with entertaining, challenging and inspiring ways into the world of music and the Sydney Conservatorium’s vibrant culture.

The program has a wide range of courses to choose from, with composition, singing, jazz, blues, soul, improv, music technology, and many more classes available, all taught by professional and experienced musicians. Each class available for enrolment will be clearly marked online as either online or in person.

Face to face courses are held in the state-of-the-art facilities of the prestigious Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Students enjoy unique bonuses when joining one of the Open Academy’s courses, including membership of the Conservatorium’s extensive music library for the term, and discounted tickets to Conservatorium concerts.
