Vessels of Love is an annual poetry program presented by Poetry Sydney that seeks to explore ideas and forms of love over Valentine’s Day week. The first edition was part of the City of Sydney’s series of activations to attract people back to the Central Business District following the pandemic in 2021. This year The Salons: Love in transmission is the fourth project that allows us an entry point into poetry of impermanence and fragility of taut lines and tensile forces. The Salons directors, Angie, Joan and Penny provide insight and we present the participating poets for Love in transmission on the airwaves in two parts: Albert Lin, Ali Whitelock, Gillian Swain, Luke Patterson, Magdalena Ball, Paris Rosemont and Richard James Allen. Produced and presented by Angela Stretch, from GADIGAL country, we acknowledge First Nations peoples as the sovereign custodians of Country, and pay respect to Elders of past, present and to future generations. We acknowledge and value the distinct culture, customs and practices present in the many and diverse tribal nations across NSW.
