Andy Bromberger returns at 10:40 am with Part 2 of Bardi to Bach’s Baroque and in this episode, Andy contextualises the period and describes the move from the polyphony of the Renaissance to monody and tonality of the Baroque.

My special guest at 11:00 am is Ella Dreyfus, making a most welcome return to Arts Wednesday. Ella has just returned from Berlin where she has made a documentary called Dreyfus.Drei. It is about 3 generations of her family and their complex relationship with Germany, the country they fled so many years ago.

Music in the first half hour is a take on the Baroque and the rest of the program features music of Germany of the 30’s as well as the music of George Dreyfus.
