Meet Ron Young Fundraising Manager 2016 Eastside Radiothon!

My name is Ron and I am a Canadian living in Australia. I moved to Australia almost 5 years ago and have truly fallen in love with this beautiful country. I have worked in radio for over 20 years. I got the radio bug when I was 8 years old after feeling the power of how radio can connect with the audience.  I always enjoyed the theatre of the mind approach radio takes and how it can evoke emotion and encapsulate moments of life through spoken word, music and simply just reaching out and connecting one on one with the audience.  My radio career started in Sydney Nova Scotia Canada before taking me to Toronto Ontario, where I spent the majority of my career on-air and as a voice artist.  I love radio, and am thrilled to have the opportunity to work as Fundraiser Manager for Eastside Radio’s 2016 Radiothon from the 19^th to 25^th of June.  It’s a pleasure to be here at Eastside 89.7 FM and I look forward to working with the great team that make Eastside Radio work.
