Friday Drive welcomed David Murphy, an emergency department doctor and Grahame Conlon, a former patient of the Prince of Wales Hospital who came down to the studio to talk to us about the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation.

This year they are supporting the Emergency Department and the incredibly important work that they do. David was kind enough to explain how much this Foundation will help the department, especially over the Christmas period. It’s essential to remember how hard staff in the emergency department work, and often this time of year isn’t a holiday for them, rather it gets busier!

Grahame is one such miracle that counts his lucky stars that the staff at POWH were there to help him when he suffered a heart attack in 2013. He generously shared his story and explained the importance of donations around this time of year (since they saved his life!)
