Presented by Ruth Hessey
Monday Drive is fuelled by lively conversations with local artists and scientists, film and book reviews, breaking news with a green tinge and a diverse range of guests from musicians and changemakers to experts on social justice, energy transition, biodiversity and sustainable living.
Your host Ruth Hessey has spent over 20 years loving the eastern suburbs. She has worked as a print, digital and broadcast journalist for Fairfax, Vogue, the ABC and assorted media outlets. After transitioning to the environment movement she started to make films, and her documentary, Waste Not, has been translated into 4 languages (Mandarin, Indonesian, Turkish and Spanish) and screened in 30 countries and 25 international Film festivals. It also won Best Documentary Film at St Kilda Film Festival.
In between presenting Drive and Green Velvet on Eastside and creating content for a wide range of private and government clients, Ruth is currently writing a book about plant medicine. She likes to relax writing fiction, teaching yoga, swimming every day in the ocean and cycling through Sydney’s beautiful parks.
