It’s all part of the House of Yoga’s active participation in the community. Proceeds from their Vinyasa Flow classes go to a local charity, and artists are encouraged to display their work at the House of Yoga in Redfern.

Multi-instrumentalist, Jake Meadows, will provide beautiful background music to the yoga session. Jake plays harp and guitar as well as sings and has performed with the likes of Angus and Julia Stone and Silverchair.

The Live Music

If there’s one area in which Eastside Radio truly excels; it’s live music. And at the East Side Ride we have the pleasure of setting the ambiance for the day with some unique sounds. We kick-off with Jake Meadows on electrified harp as part of our free yoga class followed by our very own resident DJs, who will be tasked with rousing everyone bright and early Sunday morning.

Thirty years of spinning the best in jazz, funk, soul, disco, hip hop, French, Brazilian, Cuban, experimental, electronic, late night ambient, dub, reggae, fusion and gypsy has given us a well-deserved reputation for setting the groove like no-one else.

At midday, roots rock reggae band Declan Kelly & The Rising Son will kick off the live music proceedings with their laid back stage presence. Then at 2pm Tina Harrod Electric will wrap things up with the final performance of the day. This soul jazz funk beauty will have you pedalling rhythmically all the way home.

So make your way over to our caravan stage and be sure to get down to the Eastside sound!

  • Everybody’s talking Green. But how many of you can hear what they’re saying? Only the sustainability of your mind…Seriously! This is the future we’re talking about here and not just yours or mine. Whether you believe or not everybody must admit that Reduce, Reuse and Recycle are an important part of modern urban life.

At the East Side Ride’s Green Living area you’ll be exposed to some of the best innovative practices surrounding the 3R’s from knowledgeable people passionate about making a difference to the environment. Plus we’ll explore how to get the best out of your body which we think is just as important as the planet.
