On October the 9th people all across Australia will come together to walk to remember and support those who have had cancer come into their lives. The Light the Night walk in Sydney will be happening in the Eastern suburbs down in Bondi.

Light the night is an opportunity to help raise money to fund research and support Australian families affected by blood cancer. With more than 60,000 people living with leukaemia, lymphoma , myeloma or a related blood disorder, and another 34 people are diagnosed every day it is a given that as much funding as possible needs to be done.

The idea of the walk is to light lanterns as a sign of support and raise money, there are different coloured lanterns for different reasons such as gold - to remember a loved one, white - for your own blood cancer journey and blue - to show you care. A short walk will follow along the beach to reflect the community united in hope for a future free of blood cancer.

The money you raise through "Light the Night" will enable the "Leukaemia Foundation" to continue to help Australian families affected, most importantly your presence will also lift the hearts of our nation as you walk on one night across Australia in aid of a great cause.
