Album of the Week – ‘5’ by The Paris Combo
‘5’ by The Paris Combo is Eastside Radio’s Album of the Week. Lead by songstress/ accordionist/ chanteuse Belle de Berry, the five piece French outfit impress audiences yet again. The fifth release showcases the hard work time and effort the group have put into refining their signature gypsy jazz, cabaret, pop, soul fusion stylings. Since forming in the early 1990’s, the band have gone from strength to strength making a name for themselves as the mischievous and dazzling Australian/ French musicians who have taken the world by storm with their vivacious and stunning performances. Australian audiences will also be in for a treat as they bring ‘5’ to the Adelaide Cabaret Festival on the7th and 8th of June, Melbourne’s Recital Centre on the 11th of June and Sydney on the 10th of June at the City Recital Hall, their first Australian appearance in thirteen years! For enduring fans, the album also features some all time favourites including “Living Room”, “Señor” and Sous la Lune”, to add so very welcome nostalgia to this fresh and vibrant record.
