East Village Jazz Festival | 17 October 2009
Over 1000 enthusiasts enjoyed our first ever East Village Jazz Festival on Saturday 17 October.
The players, volunteers and crowd brought the Reservoir to life… Eastside 89.7FM was broadcasting live throughout the afternoon for those who could not make it!
A big thank you goes out to City of Sydney, Art a& About Festival, ACP, AMRAP and CBAA for the live broadcast. Along with all performers, DJs and volunteers who made it a complete success.
“Its a Family Affair” Annual Radiothon | 22 – 27 June 2009
This year’s Radiothon was our most successful ever. With the support of everyone in the Eastside Family – new and loyal subscribers, sponsors, volunteers and presenters - we were able to raise over our 2009 goal of $25,000. The funds will go towards moving the transmittor to the CBD and keeping our station on air.

Its a Family Affair @ Melt Bar | Friday 29 May 2009
In lead up to the annual radiothon, Eastside held a spontaneous fundraiser to get the ball rolling. With a jam packed line-up of Eastside Djs and presenters, the crowd was moving to tunes from Soul, funk, disco, dub, hip hop, jazz, reggae and boogie from all over the world.
A big thankyou to our splendid spinners:
Brut 33, Burn Hart, Graflex Flash, Komodo, James Locksmith, Mikey Muitante, Mr Rick, Nick LaRosa, The Sheik, Taline & Tony Roma.
All proceeds went towards keeping a mainstay of independent radio on the air.
