Eastside radio is launching a full program of concerts, a recorded CD and a future radio program for young listeners.

The first annual Jazz Continuum concert for secondary school musicians will be held on Saturday 27^th March

From Noon to 5pm at Paddington Uniting Church, 395 Oxford St (Paddington Markets)

In the breaks, you can participate in workshops to be held by Eastside presenters and well-known Sydney musicians Lily Dior (vocals) and John Hibbard (trombone).

We celebrate Youth Week 10 to 17 April 2010

During Youth Week on the 10^th April, Eastside will announce our new Youth program, set for 5:30 pm Saturday afternoons.

We are calling all bands and band members to send in their material and details. Every week a different school band will take to the air to talk about their music, their musical influences and what’s driving their jazz creativity.

He has performed and recorded with a who’s-who of jazz giants including Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Hancock, Sonny Rollins, as well as Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers and his brother Wynton’s quintet.
