77 Punk & Dub
In London in 1977, the punk and reggae scenes united when a conformist society pushed them both to the fringe. Punks and rastas were both looked down upon so they ended up drinking at the same pubs, going to the same clubs and rebelling against the same establishment. This show plays the music from that time and everything that has been influenced by it from Peter Tosh and The Clash to Salmonella Dub and The Strokes.
The Host
Dave Walshe is a drummer and percussionist from Clovelly who has played with various bands and artists in Sydney since 1999. He is very handsome and funny and can put a doona in a doona cover in under 8 seconds.
