Deep Blues is a program that celebrates blues in all its forms. From its roots in America’s Deep South, to modern-day blues from around the world, the program explores the life and variations of this magical and enduring musical genre.
Presenter Peter Charley is a Sydney-based journalist with a life-long love of blues. His family’s passion for jazz led to Peter living amongst the joy and laughter of live music in a rolling, rollicking jam session that started when he was a boy – and still goes on today.
In between songs, Peter works as the Executive Producer of the international current affairs program Dateline, which broadcasts on SBS-TV.
