THE NEXT GIG at 505:
This month Eastside Live @ 505 will take you to Africa with Miriam Lieberman.
Miriam is a Sydney based singer/songwriter with a unique global perspective. She sings in both English and the lingua franca of Mali- Bambara as well as Susu all while she plays the kora (a 21-stringed African harp) and acoustic guitar.
Miriam has travelled to and immersed herself in distant places and cultures that inspire her music. Her explorative approach is complemented with soulful vocals and poignant story telling – the result is a musical journey that is both heartbreaking and uplifting.
