Defining femininity – Queen Cxnt: Theatre Show at Fringe Festival

September 09, 2016

Have you ever wondered what being a woman really means?  Apart from the physical difference between male and female bodies, what defines a woman? What labels have been put on women due to social constructs of gender and what kind of power do women hold in our world?

Queen Cxnt is a powerful multi-sensory music theatre show investigating this exact question and exploring feminine sexuality in our psyche, language, planet and the cosmos. The show explores the vulnerability, power, honesty and mystery of a woman in this day and age and opposes the results to their opposite, the masculine gender.

Queen Cxnt is produced by God Queen Records and takes place next week on 15th, 16th and 18th September. It features the musicians Alphamama and Alice Night, both of whom present their original music, released through their record label, God Queen. The show features Alphamama’s ‘Ass In the Front’, ‘Stranger in Asia’ and poetry from her forthcoming E.P, ‘Honey Fire’.
