Is there Anything New Under the Sun? Artists respond to Dupain’s Sunbaker

Snip20170303_2Arts Monday’s Jane Raffan interviews Claire Monneraye, curator at the Australian Centre for Photography, Sydney, about the exhibition Under the Sun, which explores questions about cultural norms, nationhood and identity, through the work of 15 artists from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds in response to max Dupain’s iconic Sunbaker image.

The artists: Peta Clancy, Christopher Day, Destiny Deacon, Michaela Gleave, Nasim Nasr, Sara Oscar, Julie Rrap, Khaled Sabsabi, Yhonnie Scarce, Christian Thompson, Angela Tiatia, Kawita Vatanajyankur, Daniel von Sturmer, Justene Williams and William Yang.
