A Taste Of Honey October 11 2012

In Martin Scorcese’s  Dylan doco ‘No Direction Home’ seeing a young Bob Dylan and an equally young Joan Baez (pic.left together) on stage brought back so many memories and its a must see documentary of the day-to be able to select the  song written about that  relationship and play it in 2012 is just as exciting, so hence the inclusion of ‘Diamonds and Rust’- I studied French at high school for  5 years with a Kiwi accent so go figure -reasonable vocabulary, food, history and geography knowledge and what 16 year old schoolboy would not have loved the voice and the images of Francoise Hardy (pic.right)-when I heard ‘Le Temps De L’Amour’ in the movie ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ recently, I just smiled even more because it again brought back some magical visions of my teens(apart from the movie also being great)-I hope you enjoyed today’s show also…best,Stuart

About the Author: Love my music..anything with a great melody, arranged with either a BIG orchestra or a quality acoustic guitar......I enjoy passionate performances.. by the artiste(s) -that is always the main criteria for my choice of the tracks that make up the programme.....versions of great old songs and new songs that enable a response,a smile,a memory of a time and a place,to groove a little... ...many years of executive management in the entertainment business in NZ,Australia,Asia Pacific and New York enabled me to immerse myself in music and people....my two indulgences and I hope the music each week brings you some of the same responses.
